At Shearfab, we deliver to all corners of the United Kingdom, we recently had a delivery that was required in the Shetland Islands. This journey was completed by our transport company, AAA, this was a 714 mile trip which included 3 ferries. The drive to Aberdeen was a total of 7 hours, from there, they then boarded the first ferry and travelled to Orkney which was a total of 15 hours. Once arriving at Orkney, they then had to get another 2 ferries from the South island to the North island, which was then another 3 hours in total to finally arrive at site. It then took another hour to be able to get the steelwork up hill to the site.
In total, this trip took over 50 hours in travelling time there and back.
